Rung Kalyan Sanstha

Rung Kalyan Sanstha, an organization of the rungs living away from home, was not born out of coincidence. It took its present shape because people felt the need to communicate with their society, provide assistance where and when it is needed, and for mainly to connect with other rungs.

Globalization, a major concern of the century, has also been a chief issue in the rung community in the recent accounts. Hundreds of the young rungs flock to cities, in hopes of bright future. Many have given up their traditional ways of earning a livelihood. Trans-Himalayan trade, once a principal channel of earning a living in the rung society is being traded for a capitalist life. In the aspiration for advancement, many have lost their ties to their native Himalayan region. It is for these people, thatRung Kalyan Sanstha comes to rescue. The main idea behind the formation of Rung Kalyan Sangstha is to preserve the individuality of our culture, introduce the new generation to our colorful society, re-install the rung values, and for most to bring together rungs from various regions of the globe.
