Ever shot by impulse..!!??
Even after having all the time and space of this world..i write here after almost an age..whom should i blame for that..i do not know or rather i dont want to know.
How relaxed i am..how free i am..thinking about all the possible things to write about..
The little that i have experienced in my life recently is the force of IMPULSE..yes! you feel it: you do it: yes! that is the spirit it holds..as truly it means: a sudden flow of electrical current in one direction..not knowing where it would lead you..with all due pride i have had quite a lot of episodes driven by the same force..all thanx to my friends..
It all started from the small sweet friendship night ambience..where we got high ( mind it! without any sort of intakes)..and dreamt of doing things we would want to before leaving college..so the journey began..from the city of agra..then pune..then jabalpur..then indore then surat..kanpur..pachmari..delhi..and then pondicherry..needless to mention that i obviously had a lot of fun..but here what i would like to be noticed about is the spirit behind these actions..
when leaving for station attimes we didn't know where we will take off for..and to board on the train of which you have no ticket:its a complete different feeling!! look at the contrast: so little we had in our pockets :so much more we wanted to explore.
The best was when our exams got postponed and we wanted to celebrate..but there came some unwanted discussion about where to go..the solution was : get india's map in google..close your eyes..and just hit for the place where your finger points..and thats how we left for jabalpur..
From a quiet peaceful dinner..there popped out the indore trip..we left in the night itself..two bikes into the dark..!! it was the most impulsive of all..
Pondicherry was the farthest of all the places we had been to..and we did not know who all were coming till the time we got on the train..and by then we had become experts of how to spend quality time in train
by experience..
All this led to the extreme that people in college used to get surprised to spot us three days in a row ..Sure in their minds that we would be heading for sum place on the fourth day..
and after coming back..you suffer from hangover(of the trip ofcourse)..with all the deadlines and submission dates added to it..a perfect GRILL..!!
In addition to the memories i will cherish for years to come..there are a few more things i learnt:
1) how to convince people to come with you beating all the lame reasons they have ..( stupid no money excuses ) that too in just two three hours before leaving..as the trip was decided just then.
2) how to manage accomodation to reduce expenses..mind it..! no hotels..first final the place..and then think about your oldest friends..or your friend's friends..or some reliable acquaintance with ofcourse excellent tolerance power..as you bombard him or her with a big group of hooligans..
3) how to live the rest of the days with no money at all..( wch can becum a separate topic in itself..so ll leave it fo d next blog )
4) ofcourse a little more about india's geography..
and thank god these effects of an impelling force till now had not given any bad experiences..so caution is the word that comes along with impulse..
note: the risk you take should not be very expensive..
there is more to come as i am still not done with my college..so watch out for this space..!!
Awareness
There are mainly three type of groups: some lead, others follow and many quit. I really don't know what group i do fall in, else i don't belong to any group, i doubt it. Every next step of life teaches a new lesson and these lessons create a mayhem around. I find, i'm not aware of most of the happenings. And it is true that full awareness makes a life moving but who is fully aware? I was watching a program "journey of life"; that program was describing how writing culture came into human life and made ease for every next generation coming. Connecting that to Rung culture, i assume we have a rich culture but we are not aware of many a customs and of course the main reason is, we don't have anything in written (no? we have got a few!!
).
There are a lot of confusion and lots of minds on the move.. this is another puzzled weblog by me..i just wanted to publish my current mind..just chill..!!
Khaaye..Khong?
Khhaye.. khae ka-lheni? Thats what my reaction was when I heard this shocking news. It was about Neeraj Hyanki, who was one of upcoming rung contractors in dharchula. He had meteoric rise in recent times. There wasnt a single trip back home when I didnt hear something about him. Be it was his house or his gaadi or description of his wealth. In a way I was happy that someone was making a good life even sitting in place like Dharchula.
This morning when i called home I was told that apparently Neeraj had left Dharchula in a hurry day before morning, leaving a letter stating that he was sorry and going abroad... and will be back after 10 years. This on the day when Maalaa was supposed to be taken to his sasuraal for his own wedding!!
I couldnt believe as to why someone would do this on his own wedding day!!! Closest I can think of such a character was in George Orwell's novel razor's edge!! but that character did such a thing long after his wedding!
I cant imagine what that girl must be going thru who was to get married to him. Such things had happened to few boys only in rung history when the girl they were supposed to get married to, would elope a few days or weeks prior to wedding!!
I am still wondering!! Khong????
my contribution...
Oh…Here it is my village Gunji… Even after a long gap of 17 years….every thing seems stand still…waiting for me…! Is it real or just a dream of my childhood memories… Every thing seemed to have been waiting for me so long….I thought I am 43 year now …. With all my habits and thoughts and beliefs changed…..I find no change in my village, not even its single inch…. The same typical smell of firewood smoke… the same old narrow pathways with RASAA and LANGEE... Same old primary school and the narrow pathway along the outskirts of the fields with blooming BAE/PALTI… leading to my school … same old playground….(of course it’s size including that of the school building and the whole of village for that matter, seems to have shrinked a lot)…
but, there is something I find changed…. Is it it’s people… my villagers… my friends? No…no…! but there’s something I am not comfortable with… people don’t gather on a single round of high pitched voice call by LAREBAA…people now don’t waste time for the common cause…everybody seems to mind his own business… a sense of service and duty towards our villagers doesn’t seem to be a part of our character now…may be, the government’s liberalization policy has its real effect on us all… or, may be, as a visitor to my own village, I am expecting much more from my villagers as I was as a child…but, what is my contribution to my village….? What is my contribution to cherish my own childhood dreams…. I think I should really think doing something for my village… something to prevent it from becoming another GumiKang (if I remember the word correctly)…! But I really don’t know what way I can contribute to my village and my society… really nothing on my mind… something’s there in my mind…but what? …something about basic amenities?…. Better roads/pathways?... Water supply system? … electricity?... communication facilities? …. can I contribute on those things? .. is it really needed?...or is it the expectation of my villagers from me?....its confusing….! I am tensed….! Ok… Let me go there every year and find out something that I can contribute…!
Can any one guide me please?....
